Blair Satterfield is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of British Columbia and a co-founding principal (with Marc Swackhamer) of the award-winning and internationally published architecture and design collaborative practice HouMinn. Satterfield’s projects have been widely published in ID, Architect, JAE, New York Times, London Times, Dwell, and other publications and exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Arts Center Cincinnati, and the Weisman Museum, among other venues. Satterfield’s professional work has won numerous design awards from the American Institute of Architects and the Society of American Registered Architects, and his design research has been awarded the R&D Award (2008, 2014) from Architect magazine and the Core77 Design Award and was named Best in Category for Environments by International Design (ID) Magazine’s awards jury in 2007. HouMinn was named the 2009 Michael Owen Jones Lecturers at the University of Virginia.
