Whitney Moon

Whitney Moon is an architect, educator, curator, and writer. She is Assistant Professor of Architecture at University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a PhD Candidate at University of California, Los Angeles. Moon’s research interests reside in twentieth- and twenty-first-century art and architecture, with an emphasis on theatricality, performance, and ephemeral works. Her forthcoming dissertation—The Architectural Happening: Diller and Scofidio, 1979–89—examines the early objects, installations, and performances created by New York–based architects Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio. Moon has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and has collaborated on the design and curation of architectural exhibitions at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), ACE Gallery, and UCLA. She is a registered architect in California and Wisconsin, with professional experience including residential, commercial, and institutional work.
