Behind the Seams: Sequence + Infrastructure depicts a study sketch inspired by the plan of Carlo Scarpa’s Brion Cemetery. The article was manifested through the cutting, folding and sewing of a piece of canvas; the supporting image showcasing the byproduct of the piece’s intent. Accuracy to the plan was second to discovering appropriate methods and sequencing that would reveal, through the opposite and intentional side, unobtrusive lines and expanses of homogenous planes that may evoke the cemetery’s atmosphere.
